Description
The goal of the Strategy, Structure, and the Organizational Impacts of IT track is to advance our knowledge of the fusion between IT strategy and business strategy. The emphasis is on the incorporation of new information technology into organizations’ strategic thinking, strategy alignment, and organizational arrangements.
In an era when information technologies are fundamentally transforming business strategies, business processes, products and services, and interorganizational relationships in extended ecosystems, we argue that it is increasingly necessary to rethink the role of IT strategy. We seek papers that offer deep theoretical insights about the role of information technology in the strategic behavior of organizations. We also welcome empirical papers that examine IT strategy at all levels of analysis. The track is open to papers employing various research methods.
