Junior Faculty Consortium
About the Consortium
This one-day event is designed specifically for junior faculty to help them prepare for the opportunities and challenges they face. This is an opportunity to learn from and network with a group of distinguished scholars, mid-career faculty who have gone through the tenure process more recently, as well as peer colleagues. In particular, the consortium aims to provide you, junior faculty, with guidance on how to plan and manage your career and tenure process as well as offer a platform for sharing common experiences.
The specific topics that will be addressed include topics related to navigating the tenure process, publication and networking strategies, career planning, work-life balance, managing collaborations, etc. The activities may include a keynote speech, panel discussions, and interactive sessions around issues relevant to the career development of junior faculty members. The consortium will include a mix of recorded panels and synchronous sessions that take time zones into consideration.
Application Deadline is September 15, 2020 (Midnight, US Hawaii Time UTC/GMT-10 hours). The acceptance decisions will be made around October 15, 2020.
