AMCIS, with its large number of attendees, offers an opportunity to facilitate discussion, debate, and exchange of ideas around common themes or topics.
Symposium sessions will allow for a wide variety of formats or forums, including:
We encourage anyone interested in organizing a PDS to submit a proposal. In your submission, indicate the SIG/track for which the PDS has been designed. The PDS chairs will seek to accept just one PDS submission per SIG/track. Most PDS submissions will be designed for one SIG/track only. If your PDS is designed to foster cross-SIG or cross-track collaboration, you must mention these different SIGs/tracks and indicate that the PDS is designed for the General Track.
Proposals can be brief, but should provide an outline sufficient for the track reviewer to be able to make a recommendation on its applicability, likelihood of drawing an audience, and suitability. PDS that are creative, promote multi-way conversations, and have a positive impact on the professional development of participants from different regions, SIGs, chapters, career stages, or demographic backgrounds are particularly welcome. Some indication of likely authors and presenters would be helpful.
Submit proposal directly to pds.submissions@gmail.com
