Airport Transportation
Multiple airports service the San Diego area:
- San Diego International Airport (Airport Code SAN): 0.7 miles (1.13 km) north of the conference
- McClellan-Palomar Aiport (Airport Code CLD): 34 miles (54.72 km) north of the conference
- Tijuana International Airport (Airport Code TIJ): 25.6 miles (41.20 km) south of the conference, located in Mexico just across the border
The easiest, closest, and recommended airport is the San Diego International Airport (SAN). The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina provides complimentary airport shuttle service only to the San Diego International Airport. The courtesy airport shuttle arrives every 20-25 minutes from 4:45 am – 12:00 am, seven days a week. If you have questions about the shuttle please call the hotel at 619-291-2900.
Pickup instructions for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the San Diego International Airport:
SAN Terminal 1
- After collecting your luggage, follow the “Ground Transportation” signage.
- Walk across the sky bridge.
- Take the escalator down to the ground level.
- Turn right.
- Cross the taxi/van concrete islands.
- Walk to 3rd island, marked “Courtesy Vehicles.”
- Wait at any open spot on the curb.
SAN Terminal 2
- After collecting your luggage, walk across the street (toward Taxi/Hotel/Rental Car Shuttles).
- Locate the concrete island marked “Courtesy Vehicles.”
- Wait at any open spot on the curb.

- Take I-5 South
- Keep right onto I-5, San Diego Fwy/Pacific Cst Hwy-California Route 1
- Take exit toward Sassafras St., San Diego Airport
- Remain right to remain on Kettner Blvd.
- Turn right onto W. Laurel Street
- Stay right and take North Harbor Drive
- Turn left onto Harbor Island Drive
From north on Interstate 15 (I-15)
- Take I-15 South
- Keep left and take I-215 South
- Merge onto I-15 South
- Keep right onto Cabrillo Freeway (CA-163)
- Take Exit 1B toward I-5 North
- Take Exit 17A toward W. Hawthorn Street
- Turn right onto North Harbor Drive
- Stay right and take North Harbor Drive
- Turn left onto Harbor Island Drive
From east on Interstate 8 (I-8)
- Take I-8 West
- Take Exit 14B toward CA-125 South
- Take Exit 15 to merge onto Martin Luther King Jr Freeway (CA-94 West)
- Take Exit 1A to I-5 North
- Take Exit 17A toward W. Hawthorn Street
- Turn right onto North Harbor Drive
- Stay right and take North Harbor Drive
- Turn left onto Harbor Island Drive
From south on Interstate 5 (I-5)
- Take I-5 North

Travel Within San Diego
Port of San Diego Shuttle (formerly Big Bay Shuttle)
This shuttle service is provided by the Port of San Diego. Tickets cost $3 per day and are available at any shuttle stop.

The Port of San Diego Shuttle runs during the following hours:
10am – 8pm Sunday through Thursday
10am – 10pm Friday and Saturday
All shuttles are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Red Trolley
This iconic bright, red trolley provides access to downtown, Old Town, Mission Valley, El Cajon, Santee, Santa Fe Depot, and the San Diego Convention Center. There are three trolley lines (Blue, Orange, and Green). Tickets range from $1.50 to $3.00 one-way.
