Where and how do I submit my paper?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>All submissions are to be made via the AMCIS 2022 submission system at Precision Conference <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/new.precisionconference.com\/ais\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/new.precisionconference.com\/ais<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. After creating an account and logging on to the Precision Conference site, the authors should go to \u201cAuthor Center\u201d to submit their full research paper, Emergent Research Forum (ERF) paper, Professional Development Symposia (PDS), Technology, Research, and Opinion (TREO), workshop, or panel proposal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. When is the deadline for paper submissions?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>The full paper and ERF submission deadline is: March 1,\u00a0 2022 (5:00 p.m. PST). No submissions will be accepted after the deadline even if the submission system is not automatically shut down. Any papers submitted after the official deadline will be desk rejected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note that Workshops, TREOs, Panels, and PDS have different due dates than completed papers and ERF:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workshops, Panels, and PDS:\u00a0 April 15, 2022, 5:00 p.m. EST<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">TREOs: April 22, 2022, 5:00 p.m. EST<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Q. What kind of papers may I submit?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>There are\u00a0six\u00a0types of submissions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Full research papers (can be submitted to any track except \u201cPanels\u201d, \u201cworkshops\u201d, \u201cTREO\u201d, \u201cPDS\u201d).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emergent Research Forum (ERF) (can be submitted to any track except \u201cPanels\u201d , \u201cworkshops\u201d, \u201cTREO\u201d, \u201cPDS\u201d and will be presented in Short Paper\u00a0Slam Sessions.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Panel proposals (submitted to the \u201cPanels\u201d track only)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technology, Research, and Opinion (TREO) (submitted to the \u201cTREO\u201d track only)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professional Development Symposia (PDS) (submitted to the \u201cPDS\u201d track only)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workshops (submitted to the \u201cWorkshops\u201d track only)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Q. Where do I find the call for papers?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Please refer to the AMCIS 2022 CFP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. May I submit the same paper to more than one track?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>No. <\/span><b>Under no circumstances<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0should the same paper (or different versions of the same paper) be submitted to more than one track. You also may not submit essentially the same paper under two different titles; both papers will be desk rejected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. May I submit multiple papers?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Yes, you may submit\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">different<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0papers. <\/span><b>However, you should not submit more than three papers.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may not submit the same or slightly varied papers to different tracks. If you do so, this will be considered as unethical scientific behavior and both papers will be rejected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of our goals is to have a diversity of people on stage presenting papers. If you have multiple papers accepted, we encourage you to coordinate with your co-authors so that each of you presents a paper, rather than having one individual present many different papers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. May I submit papers which are under review somewhere else?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>No.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions to AMCIS 2021 must be\u00a0<\/span><b><i>original<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; submissions cannot have been published or accepted in a journal or conference proceedings, nor presented at another conference. Further, submissions must not be concurrently under consideration for publication or presentation elsewhere. If your paper has previously been published as a working paper or a preprint, you will be asked to describe this as part of the submission process. If an earlier and substantially different version of your paper has been presented at another conference, please email the track chairs with this declaration, and please detail the changes made to the paper.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. What if my paper topic does not fit any of the tracks?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>If your paper topic doesn\u2019t fit any of the tracks, submit your paper to the\u00a0<\/span><b>General\u00a0Topics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0mini-track, within the Conference Theme Track, i.e., <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innovative Research Informing Practice<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. For further guidance, please consult directly with track chairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. May I add\/delete co-authors of my paper after it is submitted\/accepted?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>No.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. How do I withdraw my submission?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Please notify the program chairs (<\/span><a href=\"mailto:amcis2020.progam@gmail.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">amcis2022.progam@gmail.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) if you wish to withdraw your submission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. Are there any formatting guidelines?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A. <\/span>All submissions must be in Adobe PDF format only<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Files submitted in other formats or that do not use the submission template will not be considered for review. Please refer to the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMCIS 2022 Types of Submissions for f<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">urther information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. Where do I find the paper guidelines \/ templates?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>You can find all guidelines here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. In which language should I submit?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>English (including American, British, Canadian, etc., dialects) is the language of the conference and of all submissions, EXCEPT submissions to the Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin America track, where submissions may be made in one of the three languages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. What is included in the page limit?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Everything in the submission. All text, figures, tables, appendices, and references must be included within the page limit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. What if my paper exceeds the page limits?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Submissions that exceed the page limits will be desk rejected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. What are the requirements for the abstract?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Abstracts must be 150 words or less. The abstract should be a concise statement of the problem, approach, and conclusion of the work. It should clearly state the paper\u2019s contribution to the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. How will my papers be reviewed?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Submitted papers can be desk-rejected by program chairs for technical reasons (e.g., failure to adhere to submission formatting guidelines). \u00a0Otherwise, full research papers and ERFs will be assigned by the mini-track chairs to an associate editor. The AE has the discretion to recommend an early reject without review, and will provide a detailed and constructive review of the paper. Otherwise, the AE will invite 2-3 reviewers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The review process for PDS, TREOs, workshops, and panels will be managed by the respective chairs of these submission types.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. Are mini-track\/track chairs allowed to submit papers to the conference?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Yes they can, but they may not submit their papers to their own mini-track (for mini-track chairs) or track (for track chairs). If their own track\/mini-track is the only suitable track, they should submit to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/amcis2020.aisconferences.org\/track-descriptions\/#toggle-id-3\"><b>General\u00a0Topics<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0mini-track, within the Conference Theme Track, i.e., Innovative Research Informing Practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. Are conference and program chairs allowed to submit papers to the conference?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Yes, they may submit their own papers to a desired track via the editorial system. However, the submissions will be handled outside the review system by the respective track chairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. Do I need to suggest reviewers for my paper?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>No, reviewers are suggested and invited by the associate editors and track chairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. How\/when will I be notified about whether my paper has been accepted?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Authors will be notified via email as to whether their submission was accepted, conditionally accepted, or rejected by the middle of April, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. How do I propose a panel?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Panel proposals may only be submitted to the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Panels\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">track. Please refer to panel proposal submission guidelines on the AMCIS 2021 website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. How do I apply for the doctoral consortium?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>Please refer to\u00a0AMCIS 2021 Doctoral\u00a0Consortium website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. I have problems with the editorial system. Whom shall I contact?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>In case of technical problems, please email the review coordinators:\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"mailto:reviewcoordinator@aisnet.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AIS Review Systems Support<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (reviewcoordinator@aisnet.org). Please carbon-copy your responsible track chairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. My paper got accepted. Do I have to present my paper at the conference?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>At least one author of each accepted submission and all members of each accepted panel must present at AMCIS 2022. Authors should be prepared to present their papers or participate in panels at any time during the conference. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in removal of papers or panelists from the AMCIS 2022 Proceedings. Note that the AMCIS single airtime policy will be enforced, which means that any one person can only present one paper OR participate in one panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What happens if none of my co-authors can present onsite?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.\u00a0<\/strong>As is typical with academic conferences, including 26 years of AMCIS, the requirement of at least one author of every accepted paper is to present the paper onsite.\u00a0 As the world continues to return to &#8216;normal&#8217;, many people from across the globe may still be unable to attend the conference.\u00a0 AMCIS 2022 is providing a limited number of exceptions on a case-by-case basis if no co-author of a paper can present onsite at the conference. My paper got accepted. May I opt for a discussant?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>No.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q. Is it possible to exclude my paper from the proceedings?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A. <\/b>No. Full research papers, research in progress papers, and teaching cases must be printed in the proceedings, which will be archived in the AIS library.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q.
